Laser Marking is the process of using lasers to leave a mark on an object. Laser Marking includes color change due to chemical/molecular alteration, charring, foaming, melting, ablation and more. Laser Marking does not use ink or any tool bits on the surface.
Laser Engraving
Option Engraving specializes in Precise Laser Engraving by using our our state of the art CO2, and Fiber Laser machines. Laser Engraving can be done in the range of .250″. Most metals can be engraved as deep as specified. Laser Engraving can be done on the following materials Stainless Steels, Tool Steels, Hardened Steel, Titanium, Carbide, Aluminum, Brass, Carbon Graphite, Rubber. With over 18 years of experience in the industry we have perfected the Laser Engraving process to ensure the engraving is done precisely and accurately on the surface provide by the client.
Laser Engraving uses a beam of light as the engraving tool, no actual machinery touches the surface of the object being engraved. This engraving leaves a permanent, crisp, and precisely detailed engraving.
Laser Rotary Engraving
Option Engraving specializes in Laser Rotary Engraving. Our Laser Rotary Engraving machines are equipped with rotary heads for engraving cylindrical objects with precision and efficiency. Laser Rotary Engraving can be applied to the following materials Plastic, Acrylic, Leather, Glass, Wood, Stone, Rubber, Fabrics, Stainless Steels, Copper, Bronze, Nickel, Aluminum.
Electrical Chemical Etching
Option Engraving specializes in Electrical Chemical Etching. This marking process is achieved by using an image on a stencil which is then transferred to an electrically conductive object. This marking process can be applied to the following materials Stainless Steels, Copper, Bronze, Nickel, Aluminum,
Electrical Chemical Etching is the operation of pressing an electrolyte-soaked electrode onto a stencil which is placed over a metal part. When the source is turned on the electric current from the electrode dissolves the metal material under the stencil, thus creating the desired mark. Depending on the voltage used complex electrochemical effects can occur.
IUID Marking
Option Engraving specializes in IUID Marking. IUID (Item Unique Identification) is part of a compliance process mandated by the United States Department of Defense. IUID marking is a permanent marking method used to give equipment a unique ID. The IUID marking must be maintained and readable throughout the entire life of the object. This process can be applied on the following materials Stainless Steels, Copper, Bronze, Nickel, Aluminum.
